Understanding the No-Fly Zone in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. is designated as a National Defense Airspace. This means that, for security reasons, it's a strictly enforced no-fly zone for unauthorized aircrafts, including drones. The no-fly zone extends approximately 15 miles around the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. This restriction is critical for ensuring the safety and security of this high-profile area, which includes numerous national landmarks and government buildings. Unfortunately, we cannot fly within this blue circle.
